This toy is imported under very stringent US child safety regulations.
There are very similar item in the market that have metal eyelet on sneakers.
Please be careful not to buy the sneakers toys with metal eyelet as they could be hazardous.
Shoe lace is short enough however there is a possibility that shoe lace may get tangle up around bird foot.
I recommend to supervise when your bird play with this toy.
